Technology only become the in-thing in the classroom environment recently. Previously it was used to enhance learning systems and lesson plans, but the actual learning was based on books.  The provision of education using ICT has been adopted by many institutions in Africa. It also provides students from remote areas access to expert teachers and learning resources, and gives administrators and policymakers the data and expertise they need to work more efficiently.
